Cinco de Mayo

As some of you may know, Carl is Mexican.  We celebrate his heritage by celebrating Cinco de Mayo on the fifth of May every year to show his pride.  You can read all about the origins of Cinco de Mayo on Wikipedia.  Three years ago we narrowly missed Cinco de Mayo and instead celebrated Ocho de Mayo with these:

(They’re Mexican Chocolate Cream Filled Cupcakes)  I don’t normally bake cupcakes to celebrate my dog’s nationality, but I felt bad for missing the day altogether.  Our usual celebration is an extra long walk and a milkbone (for him, not for me).  Those fondant toppers didn’t take as long as the Key Lime toppers I did, but they were pretty time consuming.

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone!
